Detroit Lions Sign DC Defenders C Jon Toth To Practice Squad

The Detroit Lions this week signed DC Defenders C Jon Toth to their Practice Squad. This is his second stint on an NFL Practice Squad this season. Earlier this NFL season he was on the Cleveland Browns Practice Squad before being cut two months ago.

He is the 7th DC Defenders player to sign with a pro team. P Hunter Niswander (Dallas Cowboys) and CB Elijah Campbell (New York Jets) are currently on active NFL rosters.

Toth joins St Louis BattleHawks QB Jordan Ta’amu on the Lions Practice Squad.

Drafted by the DC Defenders in the 4th round, 25th overall in the Phase #2 portion of the 2020 XFL Draft. Toth was the anchor of the offensive line, and played in 4 games, but ended the season on IR.
