According to the NFL Insider Jay Glazer, former NFL head coach Kevin Gilbride will be the Head Coach/GM of the XFL New York franchise.
Gilbride Background
Gilbride has a lot of coaching experience most of the time as Offensive coordinator. Starting from college, then the CFL, and on to the NFL. He coached twenty years in the NFL, seven years as the offensive coordinator for the New York Giants. He earned two Super Bowl rings with the team.
His only NFL head coaching experience was with San Diego Chargers from 1997–1998. His overall record of 6-16.
On January 2, 2014, Gilbride announced his retirement from football. I guess that has now changed.
The XFL is holding a press conference Tuesday at 12 pm in New York to announce the Head Coach/GM and President of the franchise. Stay tuned with XFL News Hub for all the latest details.
