THE ULTIMATE GAMING LEAGUE ANNOUNCES SUMMER STREAMING SCHEDULE
Oakland, Calif. (June 23) – Coming off of a successful 64-person Pros vs. Joes Madden Tournament in May, the Ultimate Gaming League (UGL) is proud to announce a full schedule of programs that will be streamed weekly on the league’s Twitch channel (https://www.twitch.tv/uglworld_tv). UGL founders include pro quarterback Josh Johnson, Brad Lewellen and Chuck Johnson, who set out to create an inclusive platform for all gamers – from athletes, musicians to casual gamers as well.
“The variety of programming that we have put together shows our dedication to producing content that not just features different games, but also a diverse group of gamers,” said Johnson. “We have compiled a schedule of consistent time slots with gamers of different ethnicities, genders, ages and skill-levels. This has always been the goal of UGL and we hope that people tune in and participate as we continue to grow.”
Schedule highlights include:
UGL Stream Team – A diverse roster of gamers playing various games two-to-three times per week including online competitive play, game commentary and special guests. This new series kicks off Wednesday, June 24th at 6pm PT.
Pregame Chat with Cat – Ongoing program with official UGL host Catalina (@yungfreckle) acting as the League’s esports analyst and culture expert. This program begins June 24th at 8pm PT.
Madden Franchise League – UGL will officially be kicking off its flagship Madden Franchise League with a Fantasy Draft taking place Sunday, July 5. Thirty-two slots are available with a $50 buy-in for two seasons. Players can win up to $450 per season.
Pros vs. Joes Finals – The winner of last month’s Pros vs. Joes qualifier will face off against NFL players in a pro-style Madden tournament for bragging rights and special prizes while playing for a good cause. The tournament begins Saturday, July 11 and additional information is forthcoming, including the NFL players participating.
NBA 2K 3 on 3 Tournament – A free four-round 32-person NBA 2K 3 on 3 tournament will kick off July 15 and continue through July 19. Players can win up to $350 in prizes.
