The Hamilton Tiger-Cats of the CFL have signed Seattle Dragons WR Dontez Byrd. He is the fourth XFL player to sign a CFL contract, along with WR Armanti Edwards, Sergio Castillo, and Jalen Saunders.
Byrd was a late addition to the Dragons roster at training camp. He played his college ball at Louisville and Tennessee Tech.
He finished the 5 games season with 44 receiving yards on 5 receptions. At 24 years old he had stops with the Falcons and Memphis Express of the AAF.
